Board of Directors
Meetings
The Florecer Board of Directors meets every first Monday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Yuma Main Library.

In accordance with A.R.S. § 38- 431.01(A) Board meetings are open to the public and all persons so desiring shall be permitted to attend and listen to the deliberations and proceedings.
​
In accordance with A.R.S. § 38-431.09 Florecer Board of Directors meetings are conducted openly and notices and agendas are provided for such meetings which contain such information as is reasonably necessary to inform the public of the matters to be discussed or decided.

At the FLORECER Board Retreat, UCLA Labor Center Project Director Janna Shadduck-Hernández, Ed.D. presented her research “ The Role of Family, Friends, and Colleagues Supporting Workers and Learners Navigating College”.

The FLORECER Board of Directors visited Coach John Wooden’s preserved office “THE DEN”
The late John Wooden began his career as the head basketball coach at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1948. He went on to lead the Bruins to a record 10 national championships. He is The first person to be inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame as a player and coach.

UCLA-ICONIC ROYCE HALL

FLORECER Executive Director, Audren Morris-Sandoval and several members of the FLORECER Board joined an informational session led by Dr. Rodrigo Dominguez-Villegas, Director of Research at UCLA's Latino Policy & Politics Institute. The Latino Data Hub initiative is set to revolutionize advocacy and policy-making across the United States by equipping Latino leaders with cutting-edge data analysis tools and skills.

UnidosUS Annual Conference
Through the generous support of a stealth donor, the FLORECER Board of Directors attended the UnidosUS Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was an honor to connect with incredible affiliates and allies working to ensure Latino college student access and success.
