FLORECER offers comprehensive college readiness programs and services such as workshops and hands on assistance to students, parents, and caretakers with topics on applying for college, understanding college costs, financial aid and scholarships-completing the FAFSA, understanding the financial aid award letter, and digital skills.


Somerton High School Cheerleaders-GO TOROs!
The Somerton High School Cheerleaders and their families attended the FLORECER Kick Off, Tailgate & Watch Party. It was a friendly and festive atmosphere with food, raffles, good sportsmanship and cheers! Thank you to Head Cheer Coach Alyssa Plaza and the Toros Cheer Team for your collaboration and support!









A very special thank you to Brewers Restaurant & Sports Bar in the Yuma International Airport for hosting the FLORECER Kick-Off,Tailgate & Watch Party. We appreciate the hospitality, delicious food, and excellent service!

This opportunity aligns with FLORECER’s mission to foster a college-going-culture and achieve equity in college access and attainment in the rural, southern border community of Yuma County, AZ.
The Small Town and Rural Students (STARS) College Network is dedicated to working with high schools and access organizations such as FLORECER to widen pathways to higher education for rural and small-town students.
