As a team, I am most proud of the way we consistently support one another and uphold a shared commitment to youth, even when our schedules and capacity vary. I truly value the trust, flexibility, and collaboration within the team. Whether stepping in to cover meetings, supporting outreach, or simply showing up for one another, I feel a strong sense of collective care that translates directly into how youth experience FLORECER.

Karina Meza Grajeda
Karina Meza Grajeda is a graduate of Yuma High School and is currently a full-time college student at Arizona Western College studying Political Science with plans to pursue a law degree.
Being a part of FLORECER has impacted my personal growth and helped me believe in myself. I have become more confident, speaking up more and helping students understand college resources. As a team, I am proud of how we work together to support and guide students. Our teamwork during presentations and events help students feel more comfortable and informed about college.

Samia Morales
Samia Morales is a graduate of Yuma High School and currently a full-time college student at Arizona Western College pursing a degree in nursing.
I enjoy working with FLORECER and interacting with students and parents. We have made an impact in the community by providing important information about college opportunities. As a team, I would like us to work with more schools to help students understand the importance of higher education and how to accomplish it.
Angel Rivera

Angel Rivera is a graduate of Kofa High School and is currently a full-time college student at Arizona Western College pursing a degree in psychology and family science.
As a team, I am proud of how well we work together, especially during events. We support one another by dividing tasks efficiently, staying organized and communicating clearly to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our teamwork allows us to create welcoming and impactful experiences for students, and it truly reflects the strong sense of collaboration within FLORECER.
